Well sorry for the delay since the last post. The big break application was a bust, i had some good rounds on the year but were overshadowed by not so good ones and have met a lot of interesting people through my travels. Stockton as always was a great time with all the members at Brookside CC that have supported me. Both Mexico events i played in Mazatlan and the Riviera Mayan brought new experiences and friendships. To all the people i met at these tournaments thank you for being so nice and supportive. My daughter Coral has grown up so much since i left home in the middle March. She is so great, fortunatly she has her daddy’s smile:). Well thats about it for now. Next up on the schedule will be the Alberta Open at Carmoney GCC in Calgary on the 9-11th of June. Then hop in a plane late the 11th to catch up with the Canadian Tour in Victoria, BC at Uplands GCC on the 12-15 of June. Take care all and we’ll chat soon. Stu

Well the first one is in the books. 74-72 = +2 It was a great experience. The opening hole of the tournament was the best hole of the week, after hitting it in the trees left on the par 5 tenth i hit this remarkable hooking rescue under a few trees that rolled up to the front edge where i was able to two putt for a birdie. Then a wrong club decision on the second hole number eleven to a short sided bunker shot and i was back to even. Then bad ball striking caught up to me an i ended up shooting a 41  +5 on the front side. After putting away the driver, using a three wood on the back nine i shot a nice 33 -3. Just to many bogeys. Today was a better ball stricking day, i just didn’t take advantage of the many birdie opportunities i had. So after a 37 +1 on the front, i shot 35 -1 on the back. A total of 10 bogeys and eight birdies on the week. So looking at the leaderboard right now, i won’t be playing on the weekend. A wake up call. So i’ll prepare and get ready for Brookside CC next week. Hope you all have a great weekend and we’ll talk to ya soon. Stu

Well i am sitting here in Richmond, Virginia at the airport catching a flight back to San Fransico. My sister Jeanette and i did a video audition for the Big Break X, a team competition with one male and one female. I thought it would be a great experience for the both of us and a tribute to our family considering all of the time, support and effort they have contributed to our careers. So now there is a waiting game untill the middle of May sometime when they inform us if we will be on the show or not. The experience Jeanette and i had even the last two days has been great. As we get older and our families get older it is very nice to have these experiences with her. So i really hope we get on the show and showcase our talents to the world.
As for me i am heading back to the site of my first Canadian Tour Championship in Modesto, California at Del Rio CC. With the Big Break trip it has put a little dent in my scheduling to defend my title there but i look forward to the opportunity. I played one practice round last week so hopefully that will be enough. The course suits my game very well being and old traditional style with fairways bordered with trees and firm fast greens. I got a pretty good pairing at 12:45 on Thursday with my good buddies Mike Mezei of Lethbridge, AB and James Lepp of Abbotsford, BC an all canadian group eh! So tune in Thursday evening to hear about my first round.Â
Keep them comments coming, and Great Golfing!

Hello all, sorry for the delay on a new post but i have been busy and really working on my game for the upcoming season.
First of all i wanna thank a lot of people for their continued support of my career, and these are in no particular order.
Don Copeland of Upperlake Oil and Gas Ltd. in Calgary/Victoria. His partner Kelly Ogle along with Don has been very generous helping in some way or another since 2001. Laurie Guthrie of Guthrie Mechanical in Fort McMurray has been a great sponsor since 2001 as well, his support of a vehicle and gas card has gotten me to numerous locations across North America. Marion Ellis formerly of Uniglobe Travel has not only helped financially, she has gotten me to a lot of tournaments through her travel deals and knowledge. Paul and Ariane Jensen of Big Valley have given me the opportunity to go to PGA Tour Qualifying school 3 of the last 4 years, which is very important. Along with Q-school they have helped financially and also have given me airline tickets.  As well, the opportunity of moving my family Crystol, Trinidy, and Coral to Big Valley with a house and Crystol a job.
The previously mentioned peole have stuck by my side for the past 7 years of my career. Let’s hope the PGA Tour is in the near future. But i can’t exclude previous sponsors that also made a contribution to my career.Â
Murray Quinton of Viking, Alberta was a big finacial help in the early years of my career unfortunately we have lost touch of late but thank you Murray your generousity has not gone to waste. Gary Fizzel of CBS Construction in Fort McMurray also made a financial help towards my early years.
Along with the Financial help i have recieved over the last seven years, i am a richer person because of the people i have stayed with as billets and host families and my great caddies ( You know who i’m talking about guys). In reality you saved me money which could be spent for expenses. But the Relationships i have made with you all have been priceless.Â
Last but not least i want to thank my whole immediate family because in some shape or form they have helped financially. From my cousins, aunts and uncles to my grandparents and mom, dad and sis…. you have all been there and driven me to succeed. Â
So lets have the best year yet. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!!!   Stu
PS: The Road to the PGA Tour is a costly one so if there are any individuals or companies that would like to help me acommplish my goal please feel free to contact me.

March 5th, 2008
March 5th, 2008 Well i am sitting here at home in Big Valley, doing the daddy daycare thing. Coral is growing up so fast, she’ll be 8 months on the 10th! Overall it has been a great break away from the game. I have been able to spend some quality time at home with the family. I have also learned some ins and outs of the flooring world, working for my friends and sponsors Ariane and Paul Jensen of Jensen Contract Flooring. Crystol is working for them as well in the office and is really enjoying it. Trinidy loves our house being directly across the street from the school where she has been doing very well in second grade.
Although it has been fun and i have gained experience working, I am so ready to get back to golfing and having a great year.  Along with the family and work i have been playing Hockey two nights a week which has kept my competitive juices flowing.
I will be leaving Alberta on the 15th to Stockton, California to stay with my Brookside Country Club Family. I will work hard on my game for the 3 weeks prior to the start of the season there in Stockton. Hopefully i will find the game fast because my first competitive round will be in Livermore, California at the Nationwide monday qualifier. The following week is in Modesto, California at De Rio Country Club for the first Canadian Tour Event of the year. It will be really nice going back to Del Rio because it was the site of my first Canadian Tour win back in 2005 (Foster Farms California Classic). Then we return back to Brooside Country Club for the second event and one of my favorites because of the people involved at the tournament and community.
Well thats about it for now, be sure to read my next post where i will be doing a lot of thank yous to my sponsors and certain people that have made this road to the PGA Tour possible.

November 19th, 2007
Well that concludes my run at q-school. I finished at -5 and tied for 23rd in second stage at Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, California. Missing final stage by two shots, man i am really upset. Making it to final stage would have garunteed me status on the Nationwide Tour with a chance to finish in the Top 25 and get on the PGA Tour. Those two shots not only costed me playing privaliges but a lot of bonus money and endorsements. So now it’s off to work for the winter at my good friends flooring company. What a dissapointment to be so close to the ultimate goal and now being stuck playing the CanadianTour without any sponsors for next year. Hope you all have a great christmas and holidays, talk to you in the new year. stuÂ
